Initial visit

Each individual's orthodontic needs are unique and deserve personalised care and attention. Your initial visit is the best opportunity for you to tell us what you wish to accomplish with orthodontics. The initial examination will also provide the opportunity to ask questions or express any concerns you may have about treatment.

The initial consultation is a 15-30 minute appointment which consists of a comprehensive clinical and radiological examination. This exam helps to determine your orthodontic needs and includes a presentation of preliminary treatment options.

If you are assessed as ready for treatment the next step will involve taking initial records. These include digital photographs, radiographs of the teeth and the jaws and impressions to fabricate a model of your teeth.

There is usually time allotted for records to be taken at the initial examination, or you may wish to schedule this appointment as a second visit to our clinic.
